Portable Sanitation

Portable sanitation systems are very important for any industry or company. It is used for outdoor convenience. The use of portable sanitation became common in the 1940s during World War II. At this time the owners of shipyards realized that much time was wasted when people used to move from ships back to the dock to get rid of human waste. Back then it was decided to make small cubicles with wood or metals that also contained a holding tank. This made the workers happy and more work was done. Nowadays these portable toilets have been upgraded a lot.

Portable sanitation includes portable toilets which can be moved by one person or by some mechanical equipment. Many of them are self-contained and do not require the installation of complex services like sewerage. They can be of big help during many situations such as festivals, camping, boating, or urban slums of the developing countries. There are many types of portable toilets and they are not connected to any kind of hole in the ground. It is not even connected to the municipal system that leads to the sewerage treatment plant
